Overview

This course is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills required to safely work in environments where hydrogen sulphide gas (H2S) may be present. H2S is a highly toxic and flammable gas commonly encountered in various industries, including oil and gas, mining, wastewater treatment, and agriculture. This comprehensive training will cover various topics that will provide participants with an understanding of the hazards associated with H2S and teach them how to prepare and respond effectively.

  • Hazard assessment and control
  • Respiratory protective equipment
  • Detection of H2S
  • Initial response strategy

Upon Completion

Upon successful completion of this course and examination achieving 70% or higher, students will receive a certificate of completion that is valid for three years

Student Information

  • Participants must be able to put on a mask and breathe under air
  • Participants must be able to partake in rescue drag techniques
  • Basic literacy and understanding in the language the course is being taught is required
  • Students must be on time and present for all course content instruction. Students who miss any course content cannot be certified and registration fees will not be reimbursed as per the cancellation policy
  • Course duration may run longer than the scheduled time
